Boy Killed in Compton Car Accident at San Pedro Street and Rosecrans Avenue

Compton, California – A 5-year-old boy died in a crash that left four other people injured in Compton on Monday morning.

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the accident happened around 10:25 a.m. at San Pedro Street and Rosecrans Avenue.

The Metro 127 bus was traveling westbound on Rosecrans Avenue when it collided with a Hyundai Elantra driven by 41-year-old Rosa Corado.

Corado, the boy and two women ages 35 and 40, were taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Sadly, the boy succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

The Metro Bus driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

No passenger on the bus was injured.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
