Brian Gonzales Killed in Escondido Crash on 15 Freeway near Deer Springs Road

Escondido, California – 19-year-old Brian Ray Gonzales from Murrieta has been identified as the man who was killed in a car crash that happened last month in Escondido.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 6:35 a.m. May 21, on the 15 Freeway near Deer Springs Road.

Gonzales was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck northbound on the highway when he crashed into the back of a Ford pickup truck ahead of him.

The impact of the crash caused the Chevrolet to veer off the roadway where it rolled several times before coming to a rest.

Gonzales was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 19-year-old female passenger in the Chevrolet was taken to the hospital with severe injuries.

The Ford driver, a 24-year-old Descanso man, was not injured.
