Brianna Parrales and Morris Proudfoot Killed in Simi Valley Accident on Highway 118 near Rocky Peak Road
Simi Valley, California – The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified 54-year-old Morris Proudfoot and 33-year-old Brianna Parrales as the persons killed in a traffic collision on Sunday morning in Simi Valley.
The deadly crash happened a while after 6:00 a.m. October 29, on Highway 118, west of Rocky Peak Road.
Police said Parrales was heading westbound on Highway 118 in a 2020 Nissan Altima when she crashed into the guardrail on the right shoulder. The Altima then drove across the westbound lanes and halted in the median.
Parrales then stepped out of the car and was struck by a 2020 Triumph Thruxton heading westbound in the left lane.
The crash impact threw the rider off the motorbike following the collision.
Both Parrales and Proudfoot, the motorcyclist, died in the crash.
Authorities closed at least three westbound lanes following the accident.
An investigation is ongoing.
