Car Veers Off Roadway, Hits Stopped Van and Driver, Killing Him
Castro Valley, California: A driver died after a car veered off the roadway and hit him and his vehicle early Sunday morning on Interstate 580 in Castro Valley.
Police said a man was standing outside his 2021 Ford E-Transit Van on the right shoulder of the freeway east of Eden Canyon Road.
At around 2:36 a.m., a westbound 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer veered onto the right shoulder and hit the van and the driver.
The driver was killed in the accident.
