Cesar Martinez Killed in Napa Crash on Highway 29 near Highway 12
Napa, California – Cesar Gomez Martinez, 38, of Vallejo, was killed in a car accident that happened on Wednesday night in Napa.
The fatal collision happened on Highway 29 near Highway 12 at around 11:13 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Martinez was driving a 2019 Volkswagen Golf south on Highway 29 when he collided with a 2022 GMC Sierra 2500 HD that was traveling east on Airport Boulevard.
That impact caused the Volkswagen to veer in a southwesterly direction, where it crashed into a pole.
Martinez died at the accident scene.
The GMC driver was hospitalized with chest, neck and shoulder injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.

Sacramento County, California: Two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Antelope.
According to the Sacramento Metro Fire District, the accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. at Antelope and Roseville roads.
Three vehicles collided, trapping two occupants in the wreckage.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victims. The patients were taken to the hospital with major injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.

Irvine, California: 65-year-old Kenneth Joseph McLeod died after he collided with a car while riding a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Irvine.
The accident was reported around 4:50 p.m. at Alton Parkway and Foster.
Investigators said McLeod was riding a motorcycle southbound on Alton when he ran a red light at Foster and crashed into a Tesla turning left from northbound Alton onto westbound Foster.
The Tesla had a green light at the time of the crash.
McLeod died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Victorville, California: A woman riding a motorized wheelchair was injured when she was hit by a car Thursday morning at an intersection in Victorville.
The accident was reported around 8:48 a.m. at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road.
Victorville police, firefighters, and AMR responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
A man driving a black Nissan was found at the scene but it was not clear if he was the driver involved in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
