Child, 2, Dies after Being Hit by Car at Fremont Parking Lot
Fremont, California – A 2-year-old child died after being struck by a car at a parking lot in Fremont on Thursday evening.
The fatal auto-pedestrian accident happened around 6 p.m. in the 5000 block of Mowry Avenue, according to Fremont police.
A vehicle is reported to have struck the toddler in a parking lot in unclear circumstances.
The child was transported to Eden Hospital, where he died while receiving treatment.
The driver of the involved vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Police said it appeared neither speed nor driver impairment were factors in the collision.
