Child and Woman Killed in Pedestrian Crash in Hanford
Hanford, California: A 3-year-old child and a woman died, and another child was injured when they were hit by a vehicle Friday evening in Hanford.
Hanford police said the accident happened around 7 p.m. near South Phillips Street and West 3rd Street.
A woman in her 60s, a 3-year-old kid, and a 9-year-old child were hit by a car under unclear circumstances.
First responders found the victims suffering from serious injuries and rushed them to an area hospital.
The 3-year-old and the woman died from their injuries. The 9-year-old child remained hospitalized in critical condition.
The driver involved stopped and cooperated with officers.
Alcohol and drugs did not appear to be factors.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
