CHP Investigating Deadly Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 80 in San Pablo
San Pablo, California: The California Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly multi-vehicle collision that happened Saturday morning in San Pablo.
The pileup was reported at around 5:13 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 80, just west of the San Pablo Sam Road off-ramp.
CHP said several vehicles were involved in the collision under unclear circumstances.
The vehicles, and debris from the crash, were blocking traffic lanes.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene.
The report said at least one person was killed in the accident.
All the eastbound lanes of the freeway were shut down to allow a helicopter to land and airlift an injured person. It was, however, not clear if the patient was different or the same as the one who died.
No other details were given, but authorities are investigating.

Sacramento County, California: Two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Antelope.
According to the Sacramento Metro Fire District, the accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. at Antelope and Roseville roads.
Three vehicles collided, trapping two occupants in the wreckage.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victims. The patients were taken to the hospital with major injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.

Kenneth Joseph McLeod Killed in Irvine Motorcycle Accident
Irvine, California: 65-year-old Kenneth Joseph McLeod died after he collided with a car while riding a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Irvine.
The accident was reported around 4:50 p.m. at Alton Parkway and Foster.
Investigators said McLeod was riding a motorcycle southbound on Alton when he ran a red light at Foster and crashed into a Tesla turning left from northbound Alton onto westbound Foster.
The Tesla had a green light at the time of the crash.
McLeod died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
Woman Hospitalized After Victorville Pedestrian Accident at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road
Woman on Motorized Wheelchair Hit and Injured by Car in Victorville
Victorville, California: A woman riding a motorized wheelchair was injured when she was hit by a car Thursday morning at an intersection in Victorville.
The accident was reported around 8:48 a.m. at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road.
Victorville police, firefighters, and AMR responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
A man driving a black Nissan was found at the scene but it was not clear if he was the driver involved in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
