3 Killed, 4 Juveniles Injured in Hornbrook Head-On Collision
CHP Investigating Tripple Fatal Crash on Copco Road in Hornbrook
Hornbrook, California: Three people died, and four juveniles were injured in a head-on collision that happened Friday afternoon in Hornbrook.
The California Highway Patrol said the collision occurred around 12:24 p.m. on Copco Road, east of Salmon Street.
An initial investigation revealed that a male driver of a Dodge Ram 1500 was heading west on Copco Road east of Salmon Street, and another male driver was approaching from the opposite direction in a Chrysler Pacifica.
The Dodge was driving through a sweeping curve when it allegedly drifted to the left, over the double-yellow lines, and into the eastbound lane where it collided head-on with the Chrysler.
The driver of the Dodge was killed in the crash, as did, the driver of the Chrysler and a female front passenger in that car.
Four juvenile passengers in the Chrysler, aged one to eight years old, were taken to Fairchild Medical Center with minor to major injuries.
