CHP Investigating Tripple Fatal Crash on Copco Road in Hornbrook

Hornbrook, California: Three people died, and four juveniles were injured in a head-on collision that happened Friday afternoon in Hornbrook.

The California Highway Patrol said the collision occurred around 12:24 p.m. on Copco Road, east of Salmon Street.

An initial investigation revealed that a male driver of a Dodge Ram 1500 was heading west on Copco Road east of Salmon Street, and another male driver was approaching from the opposite direction in a Chrysler Pacifica.

The Dodge was driving through a sweeping curve when it allegedly drifted to the left, over the double-yellow lines, and into the eastbound lane where it collided head-on with the Chrysler.

The driver of the Dodge was killed in the crash, as did, the driver of the Chrysler and a female front passenger in that car.

Four juvenile passengers in the Chrysler, aged one to eight years old, were taken to Fairchild Medical Center with minor to major injuries.

Authorities are investigating the collision.
