Christopher Cassel Killed in Hayward Bicycle Accident on Tennyson Road
Hayward, California (May 10, 2023) – The Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau has identified 29-year-old Christopher Cassel as the bicyclist killed after a crash on Sunday night in Hayward.
The deadly collision occurred on eastbound Tennyson Road near the Interstate 880 off-ramp at about 10:30 p.m. on May 9.
Police confirmed Cassel of Salinas was cycling his bike when he was hit by a vehicle for unknown reasons.
Cassel died due to the collision.
The 27-year-old male car driver remained at the crash site and was cooperative.
No additional information regarding this collision was released.
An investigation is ongoing.
