Christopher Salge Killed in Motorcycle Accident on 5 Freeway near State Route 531
Arlington, Washington – Christopher R. Salge, 40, has been identified as the motorcyclist who died in a multi-vehicle collision near Arlington on Tuesday morning.
The collision happened around 3 a.m. on the southbound 5 Freeway near State Route 531/172nd Street Northeast, according to the Washington State Patrol.
A motorcycle, a Jeep and a semi-truck were involved in the accident.
Salge was riding the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the accident scene, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner.
Both the Jeep and the semi-truck driver stayed at the scene and are cooperating with investigators.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.

Three vehicles collided, trapping two occupants in the wreckage.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victims. The patients were taken to the hospital with major injuries.

Irvine, California: 65-year-old Kenneth Joseph McLeod died after he collided with a car while riding a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Irvine.
The accident was reported around 4:50 p.m. at Alton Parkway and Foster.
Investigators said McLeod was riding a motorcycle southbound on Alton when he ran a red light at Foster and crashed into a Tesla turning left from northbound Alton onto westbound Foster.
The Tesla had a green light at the time of the crash.
McLeod died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Victorville, California: A woman riding a motorized wheelchair was injured when she was hit by a car Thursday morning at an intersection in Victorville.
The accident was reported around 8:48 a.m. at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road.
Victorville police, firefighters, and AMR responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
A man driving a black Nissan was found at the scene but it was not clear if he was the driver involved in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
