Courteney Taylor and Amaya Taylor Killed in Fallbrook Accident on Interstate 15
Fallbrook, California (April 28, 2023) – Courteney Taylor, 29, and Amaya Taylor, 4, has been identified as one of the two persons killed in a traffic collision on Sunday in Fallbrook, according to a police report.
The accident happened on April 23 on Interstate 15.
Per the report, 23-year-old Erick Arambula was heading northbound on Old Highway 395 in a truck when a California Fish and Wildlife officer noticed he ran a red light. The officer pursued him with the lights and sirens activated.
Erick speeds off, swerving in and out of approaching lanes before drifting down an embankment onto Interstate 15 and into the wrong way.
A few moments after, Arambula crashed head-on into an oncoming vehicle, then rolled over and slammed head-on into a second vehicle.
Courteney and her daughter Taylor were occupants of the car hit head-on. The two died in the collision.
Three persons in the second vehicle suffered minor injuries from the accident.
Police arrested Arambula for gross vehicular manslaughter and felony DUI.
