Cyclist Airlifted to Trauma Center After Hesperia Crash
Hesperia, California: A male bicyclist was hospitalized with serious injuries after colliding with a car Wednesday afternoon near an intersection in Hesperia, police said.
The incident happened around 4 p.m. near Main Street and 8th Avenue.
The San Bernardino County Fire and Hesperia Police Department responded to the scene and requested an air ambulance to airlift the rider to the hospital.
A ground ambulance transported the seriously hurt victim to Hesperia Airport, where they were airlifted to a trauma center in critical condition.
The driver of the Lexus involved remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
