Antonio Rodriguez Killed in Oxnard Bicycle Crash at First Street and Roosevelt Avenue
Cyclist Hit and Critically Injured by Car in Oxnard Dies from Injuries
Oxnard, California: Authorities reported that 44-year-old Antonio Rodriguez died 10 days after he was struck by a vehicle while riding a bicycle earlier this month at an intersection in Oxnard.
The incident took place at about 7:55 a.m. on December 3 at First Street and Roosevelt Avenue.
The Oxnard man was riding a fixed-gear bicycle without brakes when he collided with a car driven by a 20-year-old Oxnard resident.
Rodriguez was taken to Ventura County Medical Center with severe injuries. He died Monday while receiving treatment at the facility.
The driver of the car stopped and cooperated with investigators.
