Miramar, California – Two people who died in a car accident earlier this month in Miramar have been identified.
The accident happened around 2:45 a.m. on March 16, on the 15 Freeway near Miramar Way, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Daniel Vicente Delgadillo, 26, and Alexa Pauline Lavigne, 24, both from Escondido, were passengers in a northbound Honda Civic that rear-ended a Toyota 4-Runner.
Both passengers were ejected from the car and were pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The drivers of the Honda and the Chevrolet, identified as Esteban Coronado and Joseph Martin respectively, were arrested on suspicion of DUI.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
