Daniel Lopez Identified as Woman Killed in Los Angeles Accident on Highway 101 near Grand Avenue
Los Angeles, California (May 10, 2023) – The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office has identified Daniella Inez Lopez, 22, as the woman killed in a traffic collision on Monday evening in downtown Los Angeles.
The deadly collision happened on the northbound Hollywood (101) Freeway near the Grand Avenue on-ramp at about 4:00 p.m. on May 8.
Police said Lopez was heading the wrong way in a Toyota Prius when she side-swiped a Honda. The crash caused the Prius to hit a pickup truck head-on. The two vehicles then burst into flames.
Lopez suffered fatal injuries due to the collision.
One individual was hospitalized, while two others sustained minor non-life-threatening injuries following the accident.
