Apple Valley, California – According to the coroner’s office, Daniel Stuardo Perez, 29, has been identified as the person killed in a car accident involving a patrol vehicle on Saturday afternoon in Apple Valley.
The fatal crash happened at about 4:02 p.m. on June 29, at Bear Valley Road near Kiowa Road.
Perez was heading eastbound in a Toyota Corolla when he tried to drive left into a parking lot and crashed into a patrol car.
Perez was pronounced dead at the scene.
The police officer sustained minor injuries and was hospitalized.
No additional details concerning the incident were provided.
