David Reinhardt Identified as Rider Killed in Lake Hughes Accident at Trail E and Elizabeth Lake Rd
Lake Hughes, California – David Reinhardt, 41, has been identified as the man killed in a motorcycle collision on Friday night in Lake Hughes.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Trail E and Elizabeth Lake Road at about 11:07 p.m. on June 14.
Police said a motorcycle and a vehicle crashed under unclear circumstances at the intersection.
Reinhardt, the male rider, was thrown off the motorbike following the crash.
He was declared dead at the crash site.
It was earlier reported that the victim was a pedestrian.
Officers said a utility pole incurred damage due to the collision.
The incident remained under investigation.

Sacramento County, California: Two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Antelope.
According to the Sacramento Metro Fire District, the accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. at Antelope and Roseville roads.
Three vehicles collided, trapping two occupants in the wreckage.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victims. The patients were taken to the hospital with major injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.

Irvine, California: 65-year-old Kenneth Joseph McLeod died after he collided with a car while riding a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Irvine.
The accident was reported around 4:50 p.m. at Alton Parkway and Foster.
Investigators said McLeod was riding a motorcycle southbound on Alton when he ran a red light at Foster and crashed into a Tesla turning left from northbound Alton onto westbound Foster.
The Tesla had a green light at the time of the crash.
McLeod died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Victorville, California: A woman riding a motorized wheelchair was injured when she was hit by a car Thursday morning at an intersection in Victorville.
The accident was reported around 8:48 a.m. at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road.
Victorville police, firefighters, and AMR responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
A man driving a black Nissan was found at the scene but it was not clear if he was the driver involved in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
