Deadly Big Rig Accident at Whittram and Calabash Avenues in Fontana
Fontana, California: One person died in a big rig accident that happened early Sunday morning at an intersection in Fontana, the California Highway Patrol said.
The wreck occurred around 1:15 a.m. at Whittram Avenue and Calabash Avenue.
A Jeep collided with a semi-truck and got wedged underneath the trailer.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed at least one occupant of the Jeep.
One person died in the crash, as per the report.
CHP officers are investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
