Lancaster, California: One person died, and another was hospitalized after a traffic collision that happened Monday night at an intersection in Lancaster.
Police said the wreck was reported around 10:40 p.m. at Challenger Way and Avenue H-4.
The driver of a sedan was traveling northbound on Challenger Way when they abruptly turned to the left and T-boned an SUV going southbound on Challenger Way.
The driver of the sedan died at the scene. The victim was not wearing their seatbelt at the time of the collision.
The SUV driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Both drivers were the only occupants of the cars.
Authorities did not immediately determine the factors that contributed to the crash.
