Deadly Traffic Collision on 405 Freeway near Sherman Oaks
Los Angeles, California: One person died in a multi-car accident that happened Saturday night on a freeway in Los Angeles, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident was reported around 11:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes near Valley Vista Boulevard in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood.
Two SUVs and a sedan were involved in the collision, blocking traffic lanes.
The driver of a semi-truck pulled behind the vehicles to block oncoming traffic from hitting the vehicles.
A driver of one of the cars was unresponsive.
Police officers and firefighters responded to the scene shortly after the crash.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
If was not clear if any other person was injured.
CHP officers are investigating the collision.
