Castroville, California – A Monterey County Sheriff’s deputy was injured in a collision while responding to an incident in Castroville on Saturday afternoon.
The accident was reported at around 2:01 p.m. at Castroville Boulevard and Highway 156, according to a report by the sheriff’s office.
The deputy was reportedly turning onto Castroville Boulevard from Highway 156 when he collided with another vehicle.
The deputy was injured in the crash and was transported to Natividad Medical Center.
Two occupants of the second car were transported to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
