Blythe, California (May 12, 2023) – 42-year-old Kathryn Daher of Palm Desert and 66-year-old Dianna Clinton were hurt after a fatal car collision in Blythe in Riverside County on Wednesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on State Route 95 near Sixth Avenue at around 8:00 a.m. on May 10.
Police said 24-year-old Travis Hunt of Desert Hot Springs was heading south on SR 95 in a 2002 Subaru Forester when he drove across the centerline and slammed into the left rear of a northbound 2012 Jeep Wrangler.
The impact caused the two cars to flip.
Hunt was thrown off the Subaru and was declared dead at the scene.
Daher, a Subaru passenger, was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center to treat minor injuries.
Clinton, the Jeep driver, sustained minor injuries and was hospitalized.
No other information regarding this crash was released.
An investigation is underway.

Sacramento County, California: Two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Antelope.
According to the Sacramento Metro Fire District, the accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. at Antelope and Roseville roads.
Three vehicles collided, trapping two occupants in the wreckage.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victims. The patients were taken to the hospital with major injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.

Irvine, California: 65-year-old Kenneth Joseph McLeod died after he collided with a car while riding a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Irvine.
The accident was reported around 4:50 p.m. at Alton Parkway and Foster.
Investigators said McLeod was riding a motorcycle southbound on Alton when he ran a red light at Foster and crashed into a Tesla turning left from northbound Alton onto westbound Foster.
The Tesla had a green light at the time of the crash.
McLeod died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Woman on Motorized Wheelchair Hit and Injured by Car in Victorville
Victorville, California: A woman riding a motorized wheelchair was injured when she was hit by a car Thursday morning at an intersection in Victorville.
The accident was reported around 8:48 a.m. at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road.
Victorville police, firefighters, and AMR responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
A man driving a black Nissan was found at the scene but it was not clear if he was the driver involved in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
