Driver Arrested After Deadly Pedestrian Crash in San Francisco

San Francisco, California: A pedestrian died after being hit by a car involved in a two-vehicle collision Saturday afternoon in San Francisco, San Francisco police said.

The incident happened just after 11 a.m. on Post Street in Lower Nob Hill, near Leavenworth and Hyde.

A witness of the collision said a white BMW ran a red light and got clipped by a black Audi SUV. The impact caused the BMW to spin out of control and hit a pedestrian who was standing on the sidewalk.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

Neither driver was injured.

The driver of the BMW was arrested after the crash.
