Driver Killed After Car Hit by Metrolink Train in Sun Valley
Sun Valley, California: A driver died when a Metrolink train slammed into a car Tuesday afternoon in Sun Valley, authorities said.
The crash was reported at about 3:20 p.m. on the tracks near Coldwater Canyon Avenue and Raymer Street.
At the time of the report, police had not yet established the reason behind the crash.
The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene by responding firefighters.
The train was occupied by 54 passengers at the time of the collision, and no one was injured.
The crash is under investigation.
