Driver Killed, Another Injured in Head-On Collision on State Route 7 in Spanaway
Spanaway, Washington – A driver was killed and another was injured in a head-on collision that happened in Spanaway on Thursday morning.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the accident happened at about 6:50 a.m. on State Route 7 near Weiler Road East.
A pickup truck driver was traveling northbound when he veered into the southbound lanes in an attempt to pass a slow log truck. The truck then collided head-on with an oncoming sedan.
The pickup driver was pronounced dead at the scene
The sedan driver was hospitalized with severe injuries.
