Driver Killed in Accident on Roblar Road near Petaluma Identified
Petaluma, Calif. – The driver who was killed in a car accident near Petaluma on Saturday evening has been identified as Lemuel Rodas Diaz, 53, of Novato, the Sonoma County Coroner Unit said.
The crash occurred at around 5:15 p.m. December 16, on Roblar Road near Stony Point Road
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, Linda Johnson, 74, was driving westbound in a Volvo SUV when she crossed the double yellow lines and collided head-on with Rodas Diaz, who was driving a Toyota pickup truck.
The crash left Rodas Diaz deceased at the scene.
Johnson was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and vehicular manslaughter.
She was also taken to Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, then later transferred to UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento with major injuries.
The accident is under investigation.
