Driver Killed in Bay Point Crash on Highway 4 Identified
Bay Point, California: 26-year-old Severo Duran of Pacheco was the driver who died early Thursday morning in a traffic collision on Highway 4 in Bay Point, according to the Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office.
The wreck occurred just before 2 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near San Marco Boulevard.
Authorities said Duran was stopped along the center divider in a Jeep Cherokee after being involved in a prior collision when a Honda Pilot struck the Jeep.
Duran was killed in the crash.
The Honda driver was hospitalized with minor injuries.
Officers are still investigating the collision.
