Dustin Alioto Killed in Jackson County Car Accident on Highway 234

Jackson County, Oregon – A man died after being struck by two cars on Saturday in Jackson County.

According to the Oregon State Police, the accident happened on Highway 234 near milepost 16.

34-year-old Dustin C. Alioto was driving a black 20022 Chevrolet Silverado on the highway when he drifted into the opposite lanes and struck a red 2008 Kia Sedona driven by 47-year-old Charmin Koa Avila, 47, of Trail.

The Chevrolet then collided with a white 2005 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 34-year-old Heriberto Valencia-Guzman, of Eureka.

Alioto, a resident of Eagle Point, was pronounced dead at the accident scene.

Valencia-Guzman suffered major injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Avila was unhurt.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
