Elderly Woman Hit and Injured by Car in West Central Fresno
Fresno, California: A woman in her 70s was hospitalized after being struck by a car Sunday evening near an intersection in west-central Fresno.
Police said the accident took place just before 7 p.m. near Olive and Hughes Avenue.
The woman was hit by a vehicle traveling west on Olive. The pedestrian was rolled up on the hood of the car.
Emergency personnel found the woman suffering from a head injury and unconscious.
Paramedics transported the patient to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Authorities did not mention the cause of the accident.
