Family Identifies Teen Killed in Rollover Crash on I-15 in Ontario
Ontario, California: The 17-year-old boy killed in a rollover collision on March 9 in Ontario has been identified by family members as Feiloaki Helaman James Mateni Jr. from Rancho Cucamonga, as per a local news source.
The collision happened around 3 a.m. on the southbound Interstate 15 at Jurupa Street.
California Highway Patrol officers and other emergency personnel responded to the scene and found Mateni Jr. and another person trapped in an overturned car.
Mateni was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other occupant was hospitalized in an unknown condition.
Mateni was a member of the Bishop Amat Memorial High School football team.
