Family of 4 Hospitalized After San Bernardino County DUI Crash

San Bernardino County, California: A family of four was hospitalized after a DUI suspect hit their car Monday afternoon in San Bernardino County.

At around 2:36 p.m. on June 26, police received calls about a reckless driving car near Santa Fe Trail and Fox Trail.

Deputies responded to the scene and found a car that had crashed into an SUV carrying a family of four.

The SUV rolled over in the crash.

The occupants of the SUV, a 63-year-old woman, a 27-year-old man, a 4-year-old boy, and a 2-year-old girl, were hospitalized at Desert Regional Medical Center in unknown conditions.

Police said the occupants of the other car fled the scene after the collision.

Officers later located the suspect driver and passenger at a nearby residence and arrested them on suspicion of hit-and-run causing injuries, DUI causing injury, and driving with a blood alcohol content of over 0.15%.

They were identified as 26-year-old Alvaro Rodriguez and 32-year-old Edilberto Solano Morales, both from Yucca Valley.

Both suspects were booked into the West Valley Detention Center. Rodriguez was being held on a $250,000 bail, and Morales was being held on a $30,000 bail.
