Fariba Azar Killed in Boyle Heights Crash on 5 Freeway near Lorena Street
Los Angeles, California – 56-year-old Fariba Azar has been identified as the man who died in a car crash on Tuesday morning in Boyle Heights.
The accident happened at around 2:43 a.m. on the Santa Ana (5) Freeway near the Lorena Street off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A big rig and two sedans were involved in the collision. One of the cars slammed into an embankment after the collision and burst into flames.
Azar was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
