Fatal Collision on State Route 99 in Stockton
Stockton, California: At least one person died in a traffic collision that happened Friday morning on Highway 99 in Stockton, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The wreck occurred around 7:11 a.m. in the northbound lanes just north of Hammer Lane.
Authorities said two vehicles were involved in the accident. One car went off the roadway and hit and destroyed about 100 feet of chain-link fence and a metal pole.
At least one person died in the collision.
CHP officers are investigating the cause of the accident.
