Fatal Crash on Vasco Road and Walnut Boulevard near Brentwood
Contra Costa County, California: At least one person died in a head-on collision that happened Monday morning at an intersection south of Brentwood.
The California Highway Patrol said two vehicles collided head-on at around 6:38 a.m. at Vasco Road and Walnut Boulevard.
Officers responded to the scene shortly after the crash.
At about 20 minutes after the collision, the coroner was requested to respond after at least one person was pronounced dead.
CHP did not provide extra information, but an investigation is ongoing.
