Fatal Motorcycle Collision on State Route 24 near Lafayette
Lafayette, California: One person died in a motorcycle collision that happened early Saturday morning on State Route 24, the California Highway Patrol said.
The accident was reported around 12:05 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the highway just east of the Saint Stephens Drive off-ramp.
A Honda motorcycle collided with a car under unclear circumstances. The vehicle went up an embankment on the westbound side.
Authorities said one person died in the accident.
The Lafayette Police Department closed the Nos. 2, 3, 4, and 5 lanes of westbound traffic following the collision.
