Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Watsonville and Uvas Roads in Morgan Hill

Morgan Hill, California: One person died, and another was airlifted to the hospital after a motorcycle accident that happened Wednesday afternoon in Morgan Hill, the California Highway Patrol said.

The collision was reported around 2:46 p.m. on Watsonville Road and Uvas Road.

A fully dressed Harley Davidson motorcycle with a male rider and a female pillion passenger collided with a car at the intersection.

The motorcycle rider reportedly ran through a stop sign while turning onto Watsonville, causing the crash.

Santa Clara County Sheriff’s deputies, Cal Fire and other emergency personnel responded to the scene.

The man riding the motorcycle died in the accident, and his passenger was airlifted to the hospital for treatment of her serious injuries.

Sheriff’s deputies shut down the intersection until 5:16 p.m., when the scene was cleared.

An investigation to establish the cause of the crash is ongoing.
