Fresno County, California (May 12, 2023) – According to a California Highway Patrol report, one person was killed in a car accident near Millerton Lake in Fresno County on Thursday.
The deadly collision happened on May 11 on Millerton Road.
Authorities confirmed a truck was heading westbound when the driver failed to navigate around the curve and veered to the side.
The truck operator then overcorrected, drove into the approaching traffic lane, and crashed into an SUV.
The SUV driver, a 29-year-old, suffered severe injuries and was taken to the hospital, where they died.
Two SUV passengers were hospitalized with severe injuries.
The truck driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The names of the crash victims were not immediately provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
