Felipe Avila Killed in Victorville Pedestrian Accident on Amargosa Road near Mesa Street
Victorville, California (November 9, 2023) – A man died after being hit by a car in Victorville on Wednesday afternoon.
The auto-pedestrian accident happened on Amargosa Road, between Mesa Street and Gabriel Road at around 8:13 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Felipe Avila, 58, was walking in the area and was struck by a full-size pickup truck traveling southbound.
Sheriff’s officials arrived and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
The pickup truck did not stop at the scene and was yet to be located.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
