Woman  Dies in Goodyear Car Crash on Interstate 10 near Litchfield Road

Goodyear, Arizona: A woman died after her car crashed into a disabled truck Wednesday morning on Interstate 10 in the West Valley, the Arizona Department of Public Safety said.

The accident happened around 8 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near Litchfield Road.

DPS said a woman was driving her car at a high rate of speed and recklessly when she slammed into a cement mixer truck disabled and stopped in the on-ramp side area.

The woman died in the crash.
The driver of the truck was not hurt.

Investigators said they have not yet ruled out impairment as another possible factor.

The far right lane on I-10 and the on-ramp at Litchfield Road remained closed during the investigation.
