Gerardo Rodriguez-Sanchez Killed in Richmond Crash on 80 Freeway near Carlson Boulevard
Richmond, California – 49-year-old Gerardo Rodriguez-Sanchez has been identified as the man who died in a car accident on Tuesday night in Richmond.
The deadly collision happened on eastbound Interstate 80 Freeway near Carlson Boulevard at around 9:51 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Rodriguez-Sanchez was driving a Nissan Frontier pickup truck when he collided with a Toyota RAV 4 SUV and a Lexus GS 350 in unclear circumstances.
The San Francisco man died at the accident scene.
The Toyota driver was hospitalized with minor injuries.
Two occupants of the Lexus were unhurt.
More details about the accident were not immediately released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
