Girl Dies From Injuries Suffered in DUI Crash in Cupertino; Adam Wu Arrested

Cupertino, California: An 11-year-old girl died from injuries she sustained in a car accident that happened last month in Cupertino, police said.

The collision occurred around 6:15 p.m. on April 27 near Foothill and Stevens Creek boulevards.

The girl, and three other children – ages 8, 7, and 4 – were standing on a sidewalk near the intersection when a Mazda pickup truck collided with another vehicle and then hit a power pole.

The juveniles were also hit in the crash.

The younger children were hospitalized but have since been released from hospitals.

Authorities said the 11-year-old girl died from her injuries on May 1.

One of the drivers, identified as Adam WU, 38, of Cupertino, was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of narcotics.

The crash is under investigation.
