Group of Teenagers Steal SUV, Cause Wrong-Way Crash on Hwy 101
Monterey County, California: Several people were seriously injured when a group of teenagers stole an SUV, drove the wrong way on Highway 101, and caused a head-on collision Tuesday night.
According to police, a group of teens stole a Kia SUV in Greenfield on Oak Avenue. Officers attempted to locate the vehicle but were unsuccessful.
Later that evening, the car was spotted on the Monterey Peninsula and later in Salinas.
The teens drove the wrong way on Highway 101 and collided head-on with another vehicle.
All the teenagers inside the SUV and the occupants of the other car sustained life-threatening and serious injuries.
Authorities are investigating the collision.
