Guadalupe Garcia Killed in 2-Car Crash on Broadway and Columbus Boulevard

Tucson, Arizona – The Tucson Police Department has identified the woman killed in a traffic collision last month in Tucson.

The deadly crash occurred at about 12:30 p.m. on Broadway Boulevard and Columbus Boulevard.

Police said Garcia was heading left in her Ford Focus from eastbound Broadway onto northbound Columbus Boulevard when she was hit by a Ford Escape heading northbound on Columbus Boulevard.

Garcia was rushed to Banner University Main where she succumbed to her injuries on Saturday November 2.

Huntre Blake Shepherd, 22, the Ford Escape driver, was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Police said none of the drivers were under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs at the time.

Shepherd was arrested on October 30 on suspicion of aggravated assault.

No other information concerning this crash was provided.

The incident remains under investigation.
