HCL Technologies opens innovation centre in Edmonton

HCL Technologies has created an innovation center in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, focused on engineering and research and development, to act as a hub for its teams to collaborate with customers and solve challenging business challenges.

HCL Canada senior vice president and country head Joelien Jose remarked, “The Edmonton Innovation Centre marks a substantial extension of our world-class technical skills and unmatched engineering presence in Canada.” “Engineering-led digital transformation gets destined to redefine the corporate landscape, and our Edmonton Centre’s facilities provide the ideal atmosphere for influencing the IT industry’s future.”

An engineering and co-innovation lab will get housed in the Edmonton Centre. It allows Hitech and software clients to not only envisage their ideas. But also to observe product development, collaborative research, and continuous learning to reduce time to market.

Clients can use the center to design new products and collaborate on go-to-market strategies. Product engineering, platform engineering, operational technology services, and R&D will all be part of the Edmonton team’s responsibilities.

HCL has a presence in Canada with global delivery centers in Mississauga, Ontario, and Moncton, New Brunswick, in addition to the Edmonton Centre. The new center will be staffed entirely by locals, according to the firm.

HCL Technologies’ stock increased 0.24 percent to Rs 1,080.50 per share on the BSE on Friday, while the benchmark Sensex fell 0.13 percent to 57,200.23 points.
