Quartzsite, AZ. – Police have identified a mother and a son killed in a traffic collision on July 12 in Quartzsite as Heather Ventura and Lucas Tejada respectively, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The deadly crash occurred at about 3:30 p.m. on 10 Freeway at milepost 33, near Ramsey Mine Road.
Authorities said a utility truck carrying a load of asphalt crashed into the rear of a car with six people. A total of five vehicles were involved in the accident.
Ventura and Tejada sustained fatal injuries due to the crash.
