Ilai Petersen Killed in Chandler Pedestrian Accident at Loop 101 and Ray Road
Chandler, Arizona – 9-year-old Ilai Petersen was killed in a collision that happened on Saturday morning near Chandler.
According to Chandler police, the accident happened at around 10:30 a.m. in the area of the area of Loop 101 and Ray Road.
Two vehicles were involved in the accident. The impact of the collision sent one of the vehicles off the roadway where it struck the boy and his father on a sidewalk. The two were waiting to cross the street.
The two were transported to the hospital in critical condition. Sadly, the boy succumbed to his injuries.
