Jacob Bomberger Killed in Beaumont Motorcycle Crash on Cherry Valley Boulevard

San Bernardino, California (September 14, 2023) – A motorcycle collision with a car left Jacob Daniel Bomberger, 17, of Cherry Valley, with fatal injuries on Tuesday evening last week in Beaumont.

According to a California Highway Patrol dispatch, the collision happened on Cherry Valley Boulevard, west of Union Road, at about 5:55 p.m. on September 5.

Bomberger was heading eastbound in a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle on Cherry Valley Boulevard “at a high rate of speed” towards a Nissan Sentra that had halted and was trying to turn left onto a private driveway.

The teen tried to ride past the sedan through the left, and the two ultimately crashed.

The impact of the crash threw the teen rider out of the motorcycle.

Responding emergency crews rushed Bomberger to Loma Linda University Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries an hour later.

The Sentra driver, a 54-year-old woman from Thermal, was not injured.

No other information concerning the collision was provided.

An investigation is ongoing.
