Jacob Gonzalez Killed in Bakersfield Bicycle Accident at River and Skyline
Bakersfield, California – 15-year-old Jacob Gonzalez was killed in a bicycle accident that happened on Tuesday in northeast Bakersfield.
The accident was reported at around 9:12 a.m. at the intersection of River Boulevard and Skyline Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Gonzalez was a passenger on a mini bicycle that was involved in a collision with a vehicle at the intersection.
Gonzalez and the other rider, a 16-year-old boy, were injured in the collision and were transported to Kern Medical for treatment.
Sadly, Gonzalez succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday morning.
The driver of the involved car was unhurt.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
